Who are you and what do you do in your business?
I am an interactive producer and founder currently shepherding two businesses: Be Embodied (for sacred arts, adornment and events promoting embodied leadership) and Toyshoppe Systems (building special effects and feature interactives). On December 22nd we are hosting a winter festival, solstice ceremony and all night dance celebration for all ages, a modern ball of glittering beauty and transformation.
In both organizations I serve in a community/communications/creative role overseeing strategic development and building robust teams. From designing events, props and logos to creating business opportunities, new partnerships and technical plans I serve as a bridgebuilder between arts and technology.
What’s the “brick that hit you” this year? In other words, what challenge have you experienced in 2011?
Time is a valuable resource and every moment counts. I went to the woods a few times this year to listen to spirit in nature and take herbal medicine courses to strengthen my heart, body and soul for this work. Now I am finding it necessary to change my habits and patterns, move to a new setting and be far more organized than ever before. It helps to delegate, trust intuition (and my partners’ intuition too) while being bold with good decisions.
What whisper is calling you? In other words, what whisper will you make heard in 2012?
Living your vision will surprise people around you. They will be amazed by the ideas, stamina, ability to follow through and create new opportunities – and this can inspire others to do the same. We need tens of thousands of leaders creating open doors now and my whisper to shout is that WE CAN ALL DO THIS TOGETHER. We need to learn to work together in new ways, casting off barriers between us and letting go of ego along the way. Mass collaboration will be necessary for the next chapter and now is the time to grow robust methods of active participation in our media and culture creation. I want to create, shape and weave that participatory network. It’s time to play and create together.

I am Carey Hardy. A totally vivacious, super juicy, fun loving free spirit, full of heart and ready to touch the world with my light kind of women. My business, as it now formulates, revolves around creating and holding space for people to move into the new paradigm. By working though and healing old belief systems and patterns at the core we can recreate the world and ourselves. By teaching ourselves and our children to trust their “whisper” we move into a more divinely aligned co creative effort with the planet and our personal purpose.
I hold much gratitude to the brick that dropped me to my knees and had me screaming at the universe “I’ve had enough!!!” “I can’t do it anymore by myself!” “I completely surrender.” I was a heaping mess of gut retching tears on the floor of my new apartment, with $200 in the bank, no job, and only the hope of seeing my little girl 15 days a month. It felt as though my whole world had fallen apart in a matter of 3 weeks. But really it was a breaking point in my constant struggle for survival that I had experienced over the past 3 years. I was tired and I didn’t want to struggle anymore.
The straw that broke the camels back: I had just finished up a month long court custody battle with my ex-husband where I lost pretty much every aspect of the case including a lot of my custody. It went to 50/50 custody, where 3 years prior I was a stay at home mom. There is just something inside this concept of splitting a 6-year-old little girl in half that feels innately unnatural and against the natural rhythm of what Mother Nature intended. Maybe that’s just me but my heart was breaking. A week later I was fired from my job, and then the following week I made the choice to move out of a very toxic roommate situation that left me packing and moving out in a matter of 4 days.
Yes, in general, I may have faired this situation with a bit more ease in grace had I not just been through a similar situation 2 months prior. Truly underneath it all I was biting at the bit to really do what I know I am here to do. But up until that point I was uncomfortably trying to fit into the box of what I was “suppose” to do, not what my inner voice and heart was guiding me to do: The whisper of the call to serve humanity. The whisper that it was now time to share and offer the knowledge that I have.
I am a powerful healer. I have personally healed addiction and cancer in my own body. Now it is time to help others resolve and understand their limitlessness. I want to teach people about the transmutable impermanence of this reality and guide them in ways to help themselves. I want to work with children by helping them stay open to their own internal wisdom and innate gifts. Teach them about their own personal intuition and how to connect in with nature to find balance and listen to her wisdom so they may know peace. These are the loud echoes of my heart that have been screaming at me and are now finding their expression, thanks to that brick. I want to be fully self-expressed in 2012!!!!
Hey there, my name is Aime Hutton, I’m from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and I love inspiring women to be fully who they are and embrace their own wisdom, beauty, grace and power through something as simple as body movement. We as women to 5 million things a day, when though do we take time for just ourselves and tap into our own creative bliss and power? My company is called Awakening Goddess, I inspire women to strut their stuff, dance their dance, for women we were born to shine!
This year 2011 my challenge was recovering from being asked to leave my dance teacher’s studio, I had been dancing with her for 3 years and she feels that my business of Awakening Goddess is competition to hers. So I felt broken, lost and had no where to go. I wasn’t sure if my business would even be received. Awakening Goddess is only a year and a bit old. I was picked up, dusted off, and have been guided by some wonderful women of eWomen Network that have helped me believe in myself and my business again.
Outside my business life, in my personal life, I’ve been dealing with health issues that have been boggling the doctors and I’ve been going through tests to find out what is going on with me.
I have lots of whispers that are calling to me for 2012. The one that is screaming loudest however is to write a full book to share my story. I am sharing my story in a “short story” version that is coming out in June of 2012 already. So the next step would be to do a full book version with lots of inspiration and words of wisdom. All about not giving up, strutting your stuff, dancing your dance.
