The universe works in mysterious ways. I am guided on a path this month of self-reflection. Each person who crosses the path is a teacher, each event an opportunity for growth.
I am filled with gratitude.
Special thanks to some of my San Diego tribe, this week’s teachers: Ariel White, Erika Watson, Isabella Konold, Jess Johnson, Laena Brandenburg, Viraja Prema, Julie Tracy, Ruby Lieu, Alicia Diaz, Carey Hardy, and Jill Jancic.
I’m checking out for 10 days … no phone, no computer, no books, no TV. Only me and a meditation cushion. I’m called to do some deep, deep processing in 29 Palms at Vipassana.

Tanya,
The Universe has a plan for you that was different from yours, but guess what. The universe always wins. When you release something from your life it creates a space for something new to enter. I can’t wait to see where this goes for you.
Love. Your. Presence. Here & NOW! Thank you for continuing to show up, Tanya, with your heart in its many manifestations. It serves me. This intimacy. It is a living story. A universal story. By having this opportunity to witness you, I am touched, learn and grow.
This weaving in and out that you speak to about the cycling within relationships reminds me of Pinkola Clarrisa Estes story in Women Who Run with the Wolves, called, Skeleton Woman. The relationship thrives, the relationship dies. Sometimes we can fan the dying embers into new flames during the death cycle, and sometimes we cannot… and we should not. There are true endings.
I am so grateful to know you are gifting yourself with these next 10 days to be with YOU… and only you. Powerful. Potent. Medicine. I honor your courage. Care deeply for your sacred heart. xoxox
Tanya,
Can I just say that I am wishing you the best on your journey for the next 10 days. I totally commend you for doing it. I look forward to seeing your lovely face in your upcoming videos. I truly so grateful to have found your website.
The universe has shown me that we never really know what is around the corner waiting for us. xoxo
Hi Tanya,
this “flow” of the relationships you’re describing – growing apart and coming back together (in whatever way) is so true. And it’s so interesting and also comforting at the same time. It raises your awareness and lets you see that “this is just a phase” when you’re in the “growing apart” phase. It says to me “there will be peace again”.
It makes me wonder if the same applies to our relationships with ourselves. I believe so.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience/insights after your Vipassana meditation. I only recently heard of it and am intrigued…
Anja
Tanya, you continue to amaze me with your honesty, your love, your courage, your gratitude, your clarity. The universe clearly has other plans for you right now and I can hear your acceptance even as you seek answers and stay true to the feelings that arise and fall in your process. The best way to the other side is “through” and you are a powerful example of allowing things to be as they are. I can only imagine how healing your Vipassana meditation retreat is going to be. It seems to have been served up at the perfect time. Wishing you deep presence these next ten days and can’t wait to see what emerges from you on the other side.
I can’t wait to see how you go with Vipassana. I really like it. I do it every year. After 10 days of Vipassana each time, I feel like a new person and ready to battle the world with full energy. I came out to be a better person each year and so glad about that. The good thing I like, it’s the way of thinking. It changes how I look and think about things around me in a better way.
Enjoyed the energy of your spontaneous video today Tanya. Your message came through loud and clear. Relationships truly are a journey, and it’s beautiful with we intersect, and even when we separate. Can’t wait to hear from you again after your time in Vipassana ~ Loralee
Love Truth Telling Tuesdays. Your videos allow us to be us. To know it’s okay for us to be authentic with ourselves and others. Your videos give us so much permission. Thank you for being you and really sharing your real life experiences with us. All that you teach is so valuable and we learn from it.
xoxo

Hi Tanya – beautiful video! I love that you had a realization about polarity in relationships. This is a key thing to be aware of. It is like an infinity sign – we move in a flow from polarity to merging and back again all the time in our intimate relationships. Sometimes within minutes! And it is natural and healthy. My spiritual teacher says that couples tend to be habitually over polarized or over merger – we tend to get “stuck” somewhere on that infinity sign flow.. When we make the flow back and forth between polarization and merging a very conscious deliberate movement we can avoid getting stuck. He even says we can get so in tuned to this that we can literally anticipate when the movement needs to flow into merging or polarization before that moment arrives – we become very tuned in that the momentum is building towards needing to flow to the other side of the infinity sign. When we get stuck in either side – merging or polarization – that is one of the ways we end up suffering in our relationship. Beautiful awareness to bring into your next relationship. Hope that makes sense.
I love the “in and out” flow description of relationships that you describe in this video. That makes a lot of sense.
There is one relationship in my life right now where the other person and I are apart. It is part of the cycle. And my choice is that it comes back together, but it won’t happen over night. It will take some effort and time, and that’s okay.
Enjoy your “checking out” time!!
