Speak Up

What’s the biggest fear after death?

You know it: public speaking.

And yet what’s the fastest and best way to get your message out there and impact more people?

You know it: public speaking.

This week’s Truth Telling video features one of our tribe sisters who was on a big stage … and had the guts to share what her monkey mind was screaming at her after her speech.

Check out this behind-the-scenes interview that is very vulnerable:

As the founder of The School for The Well-spoken Woman, KC Baker combines practical public speaking + fear-mastery principles with sacred teachings + self-inquiry techniques, to help women unlock their innate charisma — and communicate with a level of clarity, confidence + grace they never dreamed possible.

A former Ivy League grad, US Senate legislative assistant + buttoned-up investment banker, KC’s own struggle to claim her true voice triggered a decade-long spiritual + vocational
quest to find the freedom to shine.

As an actor, dancer, writer, speaker, certified Tantra instructor and facilitator for The Work of Byron Katie, KC synthesizes teachings from multiple theories + traditions to
illuminate women’s voices, rewire their beliefs about failure + rejection, and help them blossom into masterful public speakers.

What’s your story?

On last week’s Feminine Leadership call, I shared my full story for the first time. People have heard bits and pieces of it, but I’ve held back sharing the whole thing.

Why?

Because I thought it didn’t matter. I didn’t think people wanted to hear it. I thought it was a waste of time.

Yet the response was staggering. I had so many people emailing me, telling me how they could relate to my story. I was shocked.

In today’s Truth Telling Tuesday, our tribe sister Naima Singletary shares the importance of sharing your story. She also discloses her own story (this was my first time hearing it!)

Check out Naima’s video series at http://tiny.cc/naimatribe. This woman’s business is called Billion Dollar Courage and she has been a force in the San Francisco tribe. She’s been a rock – always speaking her truth and showing up for her sisters. I hope you will connect with her. :)

Welcome!

Welcome to Tribal Truth’s sacred space!

We are a tribe of feminine leaders who want to make a difference in the world.

We have put down our swords and our shields and come together as a community to partner and collaborate with one another because we get that together we can make a bigger impact than when we “do it all alone” as individuals.

If you are someone who feels overwhelmed, burned out or frustrated because you are giving too much time and energy and don’t feel like your life is balanced, then you’ve come to the right place.

Or if you have just been searching for a community of empowered women to be in that higher level of association, then you are going to love this tribe.

It is within the Tribal Truth community that you can learn how to fully be of service and receive. Here you can start to allow more contribution in your life and fully trust the women around you to support you in your life and business.

We like to say that this is where the ancient spiritual women’s circle meets modern day urban chic. Many of us are urban hippies – blending the modern day hip and cool with the spiritual wisdom of the feminine divine.

How you can get involved:

First thing, subscribe to our mailing list so you can get the weekly Truth Telling Tuesday videos (see below).

Next, join us at an upcoming launch party or monthly gathering to meet us in person.

Or, check out our membership which is available virtually if you don’t have a local gathering near you.

We look forward to having you join our community.

How to be a sexy feminine leader

Yesterday frickin’ rocked. The goddesses of LA showed up and played full out – releasing old blocks, declaring their visions for 2012, dancing, singing and connecting … I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I noticed a shift in myself – a shift into my sexy goddess power where I wanted to be seen.

Let me explain: I usually lead from the back of the room holding space in an invisible type of way. Now you may think that I’m delusional given how much I am on video and how much I am in the front of the room during Tribal Truth events, but there was a slight difference in the way I co-led with Christina Dunbar yesterday.

And I owe it all to this breakthrough I’ve had in owning my sensuality.

There is a link in your sex appeal and your feminine leadership, and today’s video dives into 3 ways you can get your sexy on.

And we’ve got some sexy dancers from yesterday to demonstrate!

Leave a comment about your favorite sexy part of yourself.

mirror

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you see someone beautiful, smart, powerful, and bold?

Do you see someone who is reliable, trustworthy and safe?

Will you choose to raise the bar and act as if you are an amazing, inspirational feminine leader? And then actually believe in yourself and see yourself as such?

Now look at the world you created around you. What type of people are you surrounded by? How’s your business?

Your world is a reflection of you and the mirror is a valuable tool you can use to gain awareness.

Whatever you want to create is possible … it starts from within: who you are being, what actions you are taking, what thoughts you are thinking.

This week’s video is about setting a standard of excellence when looking in the mirror.

Check out this week’s Truth Telling video here:

Leave your comment about your personal standard of excellence or how you can apply the foundation of integrity, accountability, responsibility and generosity to your life.

Freedom

I’ve been thinking about freedom lately.

On the surface level, of course it looks like I have freedom. I can vote, I can travel wherever I want, I can have my own business, I can do pretty much anything I want do and more.

But am I really free?

As an entrepreneur, I am creating a business for financial freedom and time freedom. Like I said, I do whatever I want. I create my own schedule working when I want to work.

Then why is it that I feel so stuck? What is this feeling of dread, anxiety, frustration, pressure?

Why is it that I never feel like I have enough money? Even with money in the bank, a roof over my head, food on my table three times a day, and a constant flow of money coming in and out of my life, I am still thinking about how to make money and if I am making enough. What is enough?

Why is it that I feel like I am a slave to my business and never getting ahead?

Why do I feel like I am in the exact same place now as I was a year ago, dealing with some of the same issues, just a different version?

Why do I feel like throwing it all out sometimes when I’ve worked so hard to get here and I have something I’ve created while other people have nothing?

Am I ungrateful? Am I crazy?

No.

I have just been disillusioned in thinking that my freedom has to do with this material thing called money, which in fact is not even a material thing.

This has nothing to do with money.

It has to do with freedom of choice.

The freedom is in letting go of all of it. To let go of my attachment that this is the way it is supposed to be.

We think we should have a certain type of success measurable by dollar amounts. We think we should have a certain type of relationship based on feelings of joy and happiness.

I was trapped in this warped view of life. I was not choosing my life. I wanted it to look a certain way. And when it felt like it was all taken away from me about three months ago, I was confronted with having to feel all of it. The feelings I thought were bad and wrong.

The pain, the frustration, the anger, the sadness, the grief, the loneliness, the suffering.

As I struggle to let go and surrender, to be in the flow, to accept the challenges and the circumstances, I am faced with the ultimate choice: do I choose love or fear?

To fear: that I won’t be able to afford my own place, that I won’t be able to find my life partner, that I won’t be able to fit in with my community, that I won’t be able to create a successful business, that I won’t be able to.

Or to love: to fully accept the way it is without trying to fix and change any of it because it all means nothing anyway. To feel all of these emotions, every single one of them no matter how painful.

Because when I can truly feel, I can then experience love. When I can feel all of it – I can open my heart to new depths.

When I can allow myself to feel pain, I can then accept it and ultimately accept myself.

The freedom to choose love is based on my own self-love. The more deeply I can accept myself for all of me right now – without trying to fix and change it to look like something else – the more I can experience true freedom.

What is enough?

I am enough.

Simply because I am.

The Power of NO

I got back from The Dream Maker Retreat yesterday, which was amazing with the heart to heart connections, the hot springs and having some major breakthroughs.

One of the lessons I got was that “no” does not mean anything. In fact, it is a good thing.

Here is this week’s Truth Telling Tuesday video on The Power of No:
