I’m so excited to share Tribe Sister Erika Watson with you today. This woman is the epitome of love. She has been a solid rock for me personally lately and we had a beautiful discussion that we thought we’d share with you:
Please leave your comments below. We are excited to hear from you!
Are you coming to The Dream Maker Retreat to meet Erika and myself? http://www.tribal-truth.com/retreat

Love the two of you!
My biggest lesson lately has been in showing up. As I travel the US and spend time with other people, the Universe has graciously been sending the message that I am Enough, that I can relax, and there isn’t any more work to be done in order to be accepted.
Thank you for showing us all how to shine is feminine leaders!
PS: The end of the video celebration, may be my favorite part!
First, how adorable are you two? Love the jumping up & down intro and exit. I love how you termed these five as deep longings. I agree, when these needs are unmet – it truly hurts. I resonate with all five and a couple really stand out as themes in my life. One of these is connection – which, as Tanya said, shows up as a need for inclusion. In graduate school I took one of those personality inventories and it showed up a high need for inclusion – for which I was teased mercilessly. I was not amused. Today, however – I’ve really turned this into a strength of sorts, creating opportunities to connect or seeking and finding them continually. Resulting in deep authentic connecting sisterhood.
Ladies, this was an excellent video. These themes have come up at different time during my life. Being seen and heard was a big one for me, and I have to remind myself to ask for acknowledgement instead of getting pissy about it and blowing up. One tool I personally use, I call my acknowledgement walk. I take a walk and affirm everything that is right with me and it really helps with all the other desires. It gives tons o clarity. Thanks again!
You guys work great together! I have so many favorite snippets from this…”if you don’t address the longings, they will scream out in other ways” is just one. Next favorite: “You have to hold yourself accountable” not rely on others to do it for you…love the total call-out on being responsible since we are often encouraged to find an accountability partner as THE key to success. So much good stuff…one listen isn’t enough!
I love the energy of you two ladies! I just started having an accountability partner, and it’s so great! I’ve learned that it keeps me motivated and having the support is super helpful. It’s so true that we need to take responsibility for ourselves first as well. Yes, many great tips in this video. Thanks so posting!!
I think for me it is also about connection & inclusion. I am fiercely independent, but also crave community & collaboration. Plus, I’m so much more creative when I’m embraced within a community. Maybe it’s tied back into being seen & heard. My community shines a big mirror back to me on those days when I’m just not prepared to see who I really am (the good and bad days). Thanks for this post.
Definitely connection and acknowledgment for me. Being an only child, connection with others was limited. This was the hardest thing about starting to work from home was lacking that connection. I have created a beautiful tribe of people to connect with, but it wasn’t easy at first.
Being acknowledged for my accomplishments is a big one. I’ve had a lot of bosses who never provided acknowledgment and now I don’t have a boss. I have to open and raw about seeking it out whether in feedback or testimonials. I hate asking for it, but I do crave it.
Love the two of you! As I opened this this morning I was like “wow” they must have been in my head last night! I was just thinking about many of these longings that I think we all have in different degrees in our lives. It’s hard to choose one but I really resonate with accepting yourself first and inclusion. I’m so glad to continue to meet so many amazing women lately. It inspires me to continue to learn and grow and put my gifts out into the world. Thank you for posting this, it’s exactly what I needed.
Thank you for so beautifully articulating what I have
Been feeling and doing so with such fun energy!
Fantastic video ladies!! I would have to say for me is connection. All of the sudden like you said Tanya I have this overwhelming desire to feel connected, that I’m not from mars..LOL I’m on a quest to create opportunities, connect and find others so I can share my brilliance.
I also want to say that if you can’t love yourself, who is gonna love ya? Great job!!
I loved what you shared in your video ladies! So much of what you described has been part of my ongoing journey (and continues to be). Right now support & accountability and feeling worthy are at the forefront for me. For a long time I would tell myself “I am more powerful than I know”, but what I know now is that I am ready to step into what this means for me. I loved the line about ‘stepping into your brilliance’! With gratitude, Jeanette.
I love that you want to show us what our true longings are…powerful. Sometimes it is hard to let those really come out because of all the things that DO get us sidetracked….it’s not that were not being authentic sometimes, it’s just that we get “lost” sometimes. Thanks for sharing this video and some of the things we need to let shine through to identify our longings and be in our true power.
Thanks for letting us EXPAND and STEPPING INTO our BRILLIANCE!
xo, Tina
You two do such a great job on video, really very well done. What was cool about this as a guy is that I took it as an opportunity to understand my wife a little better. I grew up in a house with three boys, so I had no clue about the feminine when I started into long-term relationships. The learning curve has been a slow and painful one some would suggest
So watching this video really made me want to acknowledge my wife even more today. With such a hectic life style it is so easy to let those opportnities slip by. I’m grateful that was brought to my attention today by you post!
