About Julie Schmitz – Creator, founder of JLS Designs and creator of MyTensils
With a passion for conscious living and style, Julie set out on a search for a set of travel utensils that were convenient, well designed, lightweight and sustainable. Her search produced zero matches for utensils but a 100% match in a market opportunity that spoke to Julie’s passion and desire to create a business that would make a difference. Julie jumped into action and created the patented and portable utensil product; which is now MyTensils. The initial product was a natural hemp case with titanium utensils. As word-of-mouth spread, she made her unique portable travel case of titanium utensils available in other variations to suit any traveler’s specific needs or style preference.
