I moved to Malibu in December, and found myself in a completely new environment after living in NorCal most of my life. I have a very tight knit group of friends up there and wondered how I could ever recreate that in SoCal.
My beautiful friend, Laura Gisborne, introduced me to Tribal Truth. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of women in the room – so wise, fun and ambitious.
I can’t wait to attend more events and to connect more deeply with the tribe. What TT has taught me is that anyone can create a tribe anywhere – and relatively quickly.

Since attending the NYC launch last April, I LITERALLY hit-the-ground running to create a “brand” and change the way I practice chiropractic! (I mean, I’ve changed EVERYTHING, Ladies.) I couldn’t have done it without Tanya’s love and support! (And to think Tanya and I met on someone ELSE’s blog! How cosmic is THAT?!) Tanya provided me with a few “key” strategies to put my brand vision into reality and I am weeks away from launching it all. While I’m at it can I give a shout-out to the talented Kara Dake? I AM smiling…and tears come to my eyes, because I feel the empowerment of the female aspect, within myself and the planet. Yes, about time! I smile. It has been a very long and painful journey, and finally we all are seeing real Light! Past memories are being washed from us, and we are remembering in increments who we really are. Inside deep, we all know we came here to Planet Earth to do something special. Let us cleanse ourselves of old belief patterns and shine, truly shine!
Recently I moved back to the Midwest, after several years in Oregon, and have been going through many moments of isolation, painful memories, and loss. Long story!
Well, very briefly, I lost my old friends from my church, my job, my house, my car, my dogs, and all my storage units even, which included my pictures and the few things from my parents…home, personal items. Also lost closeness to my sister. So I have been forced to transcend all this loss and pain, and totally start a new life! I didn’t get to the health issues and the seeming ‘aging factor’ which makes things even more complicated, but suffice it to say, it is a case of ‘total surrender’. It is when one gets to this point, that one MUST start again. Hallelujah!
One thing is for sure, we are guided where we need to go, and to learn what we need to learn. It is a great blessing in disguise, so why not embrace the lessons, and ‘go with the flow’….after, nothing else seemed to work did it!? Yes the universe will bring you to your knees at times, and truly say to you, “Hey, what do I need to do to get your attention?”
Yes, I smile. After all this, I AM ready.

Love the new site and how easy it is to find everything! Am so enamored of everything Tribal Truth. Thinking of my experience at the San Diego re-launch is like being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket of hugs holding a steaming cup of chai. I really did feel the love and connection. It is so what I needed. I was seen for who I was – a bright light with a message and encouraged to take some bigger next steps. Looking forward to the next event and getting more involved.

I am just getting my landlubber legs back (unfortunately that would be southern Florida not CA) after being out of the Western Business flow for over 11 years, I have sailed abroad to over 28 different countries.
I have been privileged to encounter so many goddesses along my path that would fit into the Tribal Truth Community. Having to start a new career and given the journey I have traveled, it is such a blessing to know that we are coming together for the benefit of all to help us each as individuals be something bigger than our monkey-mind self tells us we are. I was introduced to you on Laura Hollick’s Soul Art TV and really connected to your message. I have been living in this rural community in southern central Massachusetts for five years now and telling myself to get involved. I wanted to meet my neighbors and enjoy those things that my job didn’t offer. However, I got lost in my new job and all of the responsibilities I managed and kinda lost myself and what was important to me. Fortunately, about 18 months ago, my job started to became less overwhelming and I was able to breathe again. This was my opportunity to regroup, rethink and reposition myself for what was to come next. I took some steps toward change and involvement and I was pleased with myself and exhilarated. I began exercising and lost weight. I completed a sprint triathlon and went on a 5-day cycling trip with my sister. I began dating online again and met some nice men but no one special…actually had my heart broken by one and became utterly frustrated by many. Six months or so ago, I was at a standstill and became depressed. I dived right back into work and my old ways of doing things or should I say nothing. Your interview with Laura was very inspirational and empowering. I felt a surge of strength, hope and a commitment to go after those things once again that I cared about most. What were those things though? Well, yes, I want a relationship but feel that that will come when everything else is in place. What is everything else? Well, those things that I care about like my art, spiritual well-being, staying healthy and in shape and supporting those in need. So, although I promised myself that I would dive into finding a new job in 2011, I have begun finding myself a new outlook on life, new opportunity with community and the pieces seem to be coming together. I know the rest will follow. Thank you team tribe!

I am so grateful to simply be a part of this community. I love love LOVE how Isabella Konold put it the other day at her event for Humanity in Motion, “unity in community.” This is how we create even more amazing and positive changes in the world. Since joining tribal truth I am inspired and excited to see and be a part of so many women going after their passions, what drives them, taking that leap, that chance, that risk and watching them fly! ….and yet knowing that if we should fall….we have so many sisters to support and encourage us to try again!
I feel incredibly lucky to have come across Tanya years after growing up in the same hood and going as far back as preschool together. I am inspired to see her taking her gift of life and uniting so many to make some powerful changes in the world. I know that when I positively affect another life that is the best possible feeling I can EVER have. Tanya, you must be on fire all the time!

Ah Heather. It is such a blessing to have you be part of my life after knowing each other for so long. I can’t say that many people from my childhood are now part of Tribal Truth … just you and Jill Jancic I think?
This was a good reminder of why I do the work I do, because no, I don’t feel like I’m on fire all the time; I’ve definitely got my ups and downs. But when I hear from my sisters, like your beautiful note, it uplifts me and gives me strength and inspiration.

Thank you for the invitation to share some thoughts with the community. Thank you Tanya for the encouragement to act imperfectly! Hurray. I teach my clients, “Go ahead and make a move. Trust yourself to make any necessary course corrections along the way.” So, put up that website you’ve been working on even though it’s not perfect. Put it up, let people see you and you can modify and perfect along the way. No one gets in the pool and swims perfectly the first time. It’s a gorgeous and rich process of improvement. So are our lives.
