I love the fact that we are in accord with each other here. My book “The Essence of Womanhood – re-awakening the authentic feminine” has many exercises involving dance, as I coach groups through dance and movement. Being our beautiful authentic feminine selves brings such joy and magic into life. Nature oozes sensuality without self-consciousness. Trees sway seductively in the breeze, flowers bloom without feeling bad. Animals and birds preen themselves to appeal to the other sex. Life is sensual – why deny ourselves that?

I was at a Tony Robbins event a few years ago. His topic was feminine and masculine energy, and how our society is pushing both men and women to the center instead of where we would naturally exist. He had the women close their eyes and dance to the song “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera, just to move however they felt. some of those women probably hadn’t moved like that since they were little girls, but let me tell you ….it..was…amazing! Every guy sat in a stupor over the energy in the room, just incredibly powerful.
From a guy’s perspective we want our women to feel sexy, powerful and confident in who they are. Even in business, some of greatest leaders I personally know are women who have led with their feminine energy. Really great stuff Tanya…and yes it took a little courage to comment on this post for me!

Powerful and fun post Tanya! I do LOVE getting dressed in clothes that really WOW…both myself and those around me! It is more about HOW you wear them that WOWs however….and not necessarily that they are any certain designer, etc. When we are in our power, others can definitely feel it too….and gravitate to it. I love wearing clothes that make me feel great. I love dancing. I love laughing my ass off. All make me feel divinely feminine and in my power.

Hmm..not sure why my original reply didn’t show up. Oh well! So I will try to repeat what I shared. So love that you are adding more feminine play in your life. This is so crucial as you know when I lead a piece at the Dream Maker retreat. Looks like everyone was having so much fun. Yummy! I love dancing it so moves me and gets me connected with my power. I remember taking my first exotic dance class and how that opened up so many channels for me. I was turning heads because I was showing up in a different way. So amazing how one shift can change this. Thanks for sharing.

Yes. It’s a great subject. What’s coming to mind is the music video, “I’m sexy and I know it.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyx6JDQCslE&ob=av3e….where they’re playing with the notions of what is sexy (by being essentially opposite of that “image” and instead being free and a little crazy). I love how we’re coming into the time when we can move beyond trying to be sexy (because we don’t actually believe it), into “I am” presence (being our true, authentic, radiating Self, who is free and recognizes the gift and contribution we are)…this is the most “attractive,” because we’re showing up as our “true” Self, and inviting everyone to do the same. How does it get any better than that?

This is an are that I am working on. I have always put myself last and tried to dim the light inside of me. I don’t ever dance especially in public. I recently pushed myself so far out of the box and went to a JourneyDance class. It was so freeing for me to do this, by the end of the class I was sobbing. It was a huge emotional release for me.
