my passion in life! I live to serve and help in any way I can. I am the oldest of six so
family is very important to me! I am always the supportive and sometimes over protective

Tanya Nguyen immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old. She learned to speak English in school and while she was living with her American guardian family.
While growing up in the United States, she learned how to play tennis, badminton, how to water ski, and how to ride motorcycles like her American teenage counterparts.
She attended Ocean View High School and graduated class of 1981. After graduating, she went to Richard Beauty College to get a cosmetology license. After working as a hair dresser for a year, she continued her education in college and studied interior design at Cal State University Long Beach.
After college, she became a franchise owner of and interior design company, Decorating Den. After it fell through in mid 1980s she returned to the beauty industry and has stayed with it ever since. She moved to San Diego in 1993, got married and had one daughter named Anastasia Lam who is currently a sophomore at High Tech High International. Her family has been a big support for her throughout her career.
Her interest has always been making people more beautiful – therefore, she took the opportunities to take part in specialized beauty classes, provide beauty services to her clients, and to share her experiences as an educator in several beauty colleges. She specialized in services such as permanent make-up, airbrush make-up, airbrush tanning and eyelash extensions. Being a licensed cosmetology Instructor and with her knowledge, she now teaches a 150-hour make-up course at the San Diego Beauty Academy.
She is a great mentor for those who want to get into the beauty industry. She influences many hair stylists and make-up artists who yearn for the ability to advance their skills to have new innovative methods and to learn the secrets of airbrush technology. She is the creator of using airbrush make-up in beauty. Tanya has owned beauty salons and training centers that have certified many beauticians to work as a make-up artists and hair stylists in movie, television, theater, and commercial industries as well as in beauty pageants, photography shoots, magazines, commercials, and especially in bridal hair and make-up.
With years of experience in specialty beauty services, Tanya’s goal is to work with educational organizations to provide advanced beauty courses at their facilities so that students can learn the skills that would help them to be a more valuable applicant in the professional work force.

I have been contemplating how to tell more people who Elizabeth Cuckson is and what I do. Here I am, writing a short bio to introduce myself to the Tribal Truth Community.
I am located in Denver, Colorado and offer a service that is about empowering each of you to live the life you are intended to live; healing from the inside out. I help you begin to trust in yourself and to live an authentic life. After the loss of my daughter, I realized I was not living my life authentically. To me, an authentic person is one who is the real deal. From the beginning of our lives, we are told we are beautiful and perfect. For some reason that quickly changes; we become flawed in the eyes of others and we start to believe it. Through my services, we work together to peel away the effects of others to reveal the original beautiful and perfect person you are.
My purpose is to guide you to creating your hearts desire, enabling your personal and spiritual growth and creating a pathway to here and now. As we work together, you will begin to transform and stand in your power. I provide the tools. You do the work.

Rachel Lawrence is a massage therapist and holistic health practitioner. Nationally certified from International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) with her HHP and license in massage therapy, she has been practicing bodywork in San Diego for almost eight years.
She took an interest in massage and bodywork initially thinking “I could probably do that” having no idea of the passion that would grow within her for creating healthy therapeutic touch. Through the years she has found that people need and crave healthy touch. The percentage of assault victims has decreased since 1993 but is still happening at one assault victim every two minutes. She believes this number can be drastically reduced by educating people on how to give and receive healthy touch either through massage or other forms of energy work. Rachel believes her work enables her clients to do just this.
Rachel uses a unique blend of circulatory, thai, neuromuscular therapy, and cranio sacral to custom fit her individual client. Keli a native of the upper Midwest moved to San Diego in the fall of 2007. She joined the San Diego
regional team of the new well, women’s wellness franchise that incorporates whole-food nutrition,
one-on-one consultation, effective exercise and relaxation services. With many franchise opportunities
available, Keli markets the San Diego county area to find prospective franchise owners. She previously
owned and operated three successful Curves franchises in Chicago and Nice, France. Keli is very
passionate about empowering women to be all that they can be from the inside and out.
On a more personal note, Keli’s true spiritual journey began late in her life when The Secret came out.
She became a true advocate of the laws of attraction and putting things out into the universe and
trusting her angels and spirit guides. She has also been a member of the Church of the Spirit and has
attended The Sedona Method among other spiritual trainings.
Keli is the proud mother of Hunter, her two year old son. While home for her 20-year class reunion in
2007, she reconnected with her soul partner and they married 38 days later. Much happened in such a
short amount a time. In the meantime, her spiritual journey got side-lined and she now is proactively
adding this important element back into her life.

Crystal Swass-Simpson is a stay-at-home mom with dreams bigger than one can imagine. Her ideas of being a fashion designer began when she was just a child living with her grandmother who was a seamstress at the time. As a child and young adult, her only passion was to use her talents to create a life for herself and help others in the process.
Born with the gift of art and creativity, she decided to attend the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. At the age of 26, Crystal received her Associate of Science degree in Fashion Design. She graduated with honors and began the school’s first blanket charity drive to help students earn graduation credit hours while helping sick children at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. This was the beginning not only of her charity work and career but it was the beginning of her family as well.
Her daughter, Mikayla Jade was 19 months old when Crystal graduated with her degree and her son, Maddox Colt was born just two months after. The birth of her children was a blessing but with it came the birth of an idea. That idea was Kisses & Couture; an idea created just to bring in extra cash by using her design ability which has grown into a business. She also created the Traveling Angel Program, which is meant to help children within the foster care system by giving a sense of hope.
For every couture handbag purchased, Kisses & Couture donates a tote bag to a “traveling angel” to use in their travels as they are moved from home to home. Kisses & Couture handbags and baby items speak for themselves. They are unique and chic. They are custom created and every detail is stitched with love. But with every stitch comes the love of giving to others.
